About
Claire Lowe, MA, LPCC
Many women come to me feeling frustrated with therapy that feels like endless talking but no real change. They’re seeking more than just insight—they want concrete strategies to implement in their daily lives. If you’re looking for practical tools, new ways of thinking, and a therapist who will both support and challenge you with compassion, you’re in the right place. Together, we’ll identify actionable strategies that fit your life, helping you break free from unhelpful thought patterns and develop healthier, more effective ways to manage stress and overwhelm. My goal is to equip you with tools you can use right away—so you can start feeling more in control, more confident, and more at ease.
My Story
Mental health has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. My grandfather was a psychiatrist, but when asked what he did, he never said, “I’m a psychiatrist.” Instead, he’d simply say, “I help people get unstuck.” That simple yet powerful statement has stayed with me ever since.
It resonated as I supported a sibling navigating the challenges of ADHD. It echoed as I learned to manage the stress and overwhelm of being a high-achieving perfectionist. And now, as a licensed mental health provider, it’s the heart of my work—I help people get unstuck.
With experience in private practice, in-home therapy, and school-based settings, I take a practical, solution-focused approach to help my clients find real, lasting change. I also hold a certification in nutrition from Cornell University and previously worked in research on childhood mental health and education.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me spending time with friends and family, hiking, reading, planning my next trip, or perfecting the art of baking sourdough.
Mental health is physical health
My Approach
-
I take a solution-focused approach rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which means our sessions will be more than just talking—we’ll actively work on creating change. I incorporate structured activities to help you identify and shift unhelpful thought patterns, build supportive habits, and develop practical strategies that fit your life. Together, we’ll break change down into small, manageable steps, making it easier to implement and sustain. My goal is to help you feel empowered with tools that bring real, lasting relief.
-
Mental health is deeply connected to lifestyle factors like sleep, movement, relationships, and nutrition. Research shows that these areas can have a significant impact on how we feel. Together, we’ll explore what’s already working well for you and identify small, meaningful adjustments that can better support your mental health. This might mean improving sleep by creating a nighttime routine, understanding how movement affects anxiety, or strengthening your relationship with food. My goal is to help you find simple, sustainable changes that make a real difference in how you feel every day.
-
Every session is a space for you to bring whatever is on your mind—whether it’s something that happened recently or a challenge that’s been weighing on you. We’ll explore and process your experiences together, but I’ll also help you identify thought patterns and behaviors that may be shaping how you feel. While you set the agenda, I’ll guide our work in a way that leads to insight, growth, and meaningful change.
