Parent Counseling

Does parenting your child feel like a constant guessing game?

Whether it’s meltdowns, motivation struggles, or big emotions, knowing how to support a child with ADHD or anxiety isn’t always easy. If you’ve ever felt lost, exhausted, or unsure how to best support your child, you’re not alone. I help parents learn practical, effective strategies they can use right away—so they can feel more confident, and their child can thrive.

Parenting Specialties

  • When your child struggles with anxiety, it can feel like an emotional rollercoaster—one minute they’re calm, and the next, their thoughts are spiraling out of control. Maybe they’re constantly stressed, seeking perfection, or overwhelmed by “what if” worries. Perhaps their anxiety shows up physically—tension in their body, difficulty sleeping, or frequent stomachaches with no clear cause.

You don’t have to navigate this alone. Imagine feeling confident in how to support your child, knowing exactly what to say in the height of their stress, and helping them build lifelong coping skills. Through parent counseling, I’ll guide you in understanding the what, how, and why of anxiety, so you can prevent overwhelming moments before they happen, teach your child tools to self-regulate, and create a calmer, more balanced home.

Together, we’ll explore effective strategies for addressing fears, setting up school supports, improving sleep, and even understanding how anxiety connects to gut health. I also provide a space where you can feel heard and supported—because parenting a child with anxiety comes with its own challenges, and you deserve guidance, reassurance, and real solutions.

  • Parenting a child with ADHD can feel like a constant push-and-pull—one moment they’re hyperfocused on something they love, and the next, they can’t remember what you just asked them to do. Maybe transitions are a daily battle, simple tasks take way longer than they should, or procrastination seems to be their default setting. You might wonder if they’re even listening—yet somehow, they can recall a random fact from years ago with perfect clarity.

Let me reassure you: your child is not lazy. Their brain just works differently, and with the right strategies, they can thrive. Imagine having the tools to help your child focus, stay on task, and navigate transitions with less frustration. Picture understanding what truly motivates them and how to work with their brain instead of against it.

Through parent counseling, I’ll help you understand the what, how, and why of ADHD while giving you practical, effective strategies to support your child in everyday life. From managing routines and improving focus to addressing sleep struggles, nutrition, and school supports, I’ll guide you through it all—while also providing a space where you feel heard, understood, and supported. Parenting a child with ADHD comes with challenges, but you don’t have to face them alone.

Services & Fees

I provide virtual sessions via a HIPAA compliant video platform.

I am in-network with UnitedHealthCare and Aetna.

For all other insurance I am out-of-network, but I have partnered with Mentaya, a platform that helps clients get money back on out-of-network therapy sessions. Use this link or check below to see if you qualify for reimbursement from your insurance plan.

If you have out-of-network benefits, Mentaya will file claims and handle the insurance paperwork to help you get reimbursed. They charge a 5% fee per claim and have helped people get thousands of dollars back per year.

Mentaya's goal is to save you time and money and it’s completely optional. As your therapist I do not benefit in any way from your participation.
